Sean officially started his career in the insurance industry in 1998 after receiving his Business Management degree from UNO. Sean has earned the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation, Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) designation, and Designation of Associate in Risk Management (ARM). Sean volunteered several years on the board of the Independent Insurance Agents of Omaha, serving as President in 2008-2009. He has also served on various boards for the Independent Insurance Agents of Nebraska for many years. Sean was named the Independent Insurance Agents of Nebraska’s Young Agent of the Year in 2008. Along with his wife Michelle, Sean also works to raise awareness and funds for the cure for the Lymphangiomatosis and Gorham’s Disease Alliance.
Dustin Kowalewski, CIC

Dustin Kowalewski began his insurance career in 2004 after receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Dustin furthered his insurance education by obtaining the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and the Associate in Insurance Production (AIP) professional designations. He is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Omaha, served as a Big I executive board member, and is a previous President of the organization. Dustin received the Young Agent of the Year award from the Independent Insurance Agents of Nebraska (IIAN) for 2017. Starting in 2020, Dustin also works as a faculty member for The National Alliance which provides advanced insurance education to professionals in every aspect of the industry. Dustin is happily married to his wife Lisa, and they are proud parents of three children.
Mark Stastny, LUTCF

Mark Stastny’s insurance career started in 1984 selling annuities, life, and health insurance. He joined Chastain Insurance Agency in 1990 and started working also with Property & Casualty insurance. Mark successfully pursued a Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designation and is a long-time member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Nebraska and past chairman of the Big I Junior Golf Tournament. Mark’s experience in the insurance industry has helped him strive to serve his clients with the best coverage at the best price. When not working, Mark love’s to hunt, fish, and is very active in his Church.
Lori Huffman, CIC

Lori Huffman’s insurance career began in 1992 working as a producer for an independent agency in her native town of Columbus, Nebraska. Lori moved to Omaha, Nebraska in 2002 and continued her career at Chastain Otis. While her primary focus is on commercial lines, she is also licensed and sells personal lines of coverage as well as life and health coverage. Lori’s goal is to build strong relationships with her clientele by providing excellent service and to serve clients’ needs in a manner that best benefits them. Lori has achieved a CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation so she can further assist her clients in finding the best insurance coverage for their needs. In a true show of commitment to her community, Lori has served as a member and past treasurer of the Friends of the Omaha (Henry Doorly) Zoo Organization. She is also a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Omaha.
Shannon Norman

For more than a decade, Norman has worked alongside individuals, families, and business owners helping them navigate uncertainty and protect what matters most. As her career evolved, Norman became increasingly passionate about working with business owners—not simply providing insurance solutions, but helping organizations understand risk, protect growth, and make informed decisions.
With nearly 20 years of experience spanning sales, finance, business development, and philanthropy, along with more than 11 years in the insurance industry, Norman brings a business-minded perspective to risk management. Earning my MBA from the University of Notre Dame further reinforced her belief that risk conversations should be strategic business conversations.
Today, Norman specializes in helping growing businesses identify exposures, strengthen protection strategies, and prepare for the challenges that come with growth.
“My goal is simple,” said Norman, “To help business owners protect what they’ve built and confidently pursue what’s next.”
Outside of work, Shannon remains active in community service and leadership initiatives, including the American Heart Association Sweetheart Committee and Special Olympics advocacy. She is also a former Miss Nebraska and Mrs. Nebraska America, experiences, Norman has said, “that shaped my passion for leadership, mentorship, and public speaking.”
Norman resides in Nebraska with her husband, PGA Golf Professional, and their son Henrik.

Kyle Bacus is a native of the metro area, the son of two public school teachers. He grew up and graduated in the then-small town of Elkhorn, Nebraska. He received his B.A. from Bellevue University and holds a M.A. from the University of Nebraska Omaha. Kyle started out in the securities industry and has worked for three Fortune 500 companies. Certified in commercial and personal lines of insurance, he can help you protect everything from your family home to your growing business. In his free time, Kyle likes to spend time with his extended relatives on their family farm in northeast Nebraska.

Chris Wood is a people-person. He enjoys connecting with people and learning about their lives. After graduating from the University of Iowa, he has spent almost his entire career in the insurance industry and has been fortunate enough to work & learn from some of the most well-recognized companies and learn from some of their most valuable leaders. Chris loves what he does as an agent. It gives him purpose. Chris is licensed to sell commercial lines, personal lines as well as life coverage. When not working, Chris finds time to coach baseball, cheer on the Hawkeyes and spend time with his family.

Kelly Meyers has been a proud husband to Kim since 1999 and an overjoyed father of Emma and Katy. Happy to have been a part of the Chastain family for over 30 years. Prior to joining the Chastain Insurance team, Kelly was in sales and a local business owner for 20 years. An extrovert is how Kelly best describes himself. He enjoys making people laugh. One of his assets is the ability to make people feel more comfortable. Kelly is passionate about developing direct connections with his clients while assisting them with personal insurance needs. In his free time, he loves to spend time with the family lakeside, fishing and cooking.
